This is where I write about music. I write about music that I love, and music that has played an important part in my life and in the life of my family. I’m really glad you’re visiting.
My very first album was The Beatles, 1962-1966. The first concert I remember going to all by myself was the band Chicago. I saw Dwight Yoakam open for the Violent Femmes. I saw Bruce Springsteen at Soldier Field in 1985. I saw John Lee Hooker open for Los Lobos. I saw Mavis Staples open for Bob Dylan.
I live in the Chicago area, and I take guitar classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music. I’m not very good, but love playing good music with good people. I love enjoying music with my wife and our family.
